Swift construction of cryogenic infrastructures

Customised FPSO pipe solution in the Gulf of Mexico
BRUGG Pipes' latest offshore project involved the use of two double-walled corrugated stainless-steel pipes for a mobile LNG production platform in the Gulf of Mexico. Two flexible pipes, each 220 metres long and weighing a total of 42 tonnes, including the reel, were developed according to customer specifications and certified in accordance with the EN 1474-2 directive for the safe transfer of liquefied natural gas.
The pipes are used reliably as transport pipelines from the LNG production platform to FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) ships. The corrugated stainless-steel pipes from BRUGG Pipes are now used to transport the produced liquefied natural gas from the production platform to the ship, from where it can be transported to other offshore locations.
The customised pipe systems for cryogenic media from BRUGG Pipes are manufactured according to customer specifications in the desired length and design. Manufactured in Germany, they fulfil all regulatory requirements and, thanks to the monitorable vacuum chamber, enable early detection of leaks, which increases the operational safety of the cryogenic pipelines.
When transferring cryogenic liquefied gases, the effective vacuum insulation of the pipes massively minimises the heat input and thus ensures loss-free transport of cryogenic liquids or gases, even in demanding offshore environments.
Due to their nature, our cryogenic pipes guarantee maximum flexibility in the delivery, storage and installation of the pipework. Supplied on drums, the pipes adapt to your specific requirements and can of course also be used as floating pipes.
Our double-walled pipe systems can be quickly and easily connected to your system without the use of expansion joints and put into operation without any problems.
