The first Group-wide sustainability report provides a detailed overview of the efforts of BRUGG Pipes, as a business unit of BRUGG Group AG. In a joint pilot project with the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, we recorded the corporate carbon footprint (CCF) at our Wunstorf site for the first time in accordance with the principles of the GHG Protocol (scope 1 and 2).
We are thrilled that we have been able to reduce CO2 emissions within the last two years despite our growing business and an increasing number of employees. "Of course, we experienced a special effect in 2020 due to COVID-related travel restrictions", explains Dr. Samy Saab, CSO at the Wunstorf site, "but that won’t stop us from proactively looking for other ways to continue to improve our carbon footprint".
