Our pipeline systems ensure safe and efficient media conveyance, functioning as transport or supply pipelines across various application areas – whether in the energy sector, for water and wastewater infrastructure or the reliable transfer of chemical liquids and gases. The specific requirements, both for the system structure and the pipes themselves, vary according to their intended function. For this reason, our product range includes both flexible and rigid pipe systems for every application. From large-scale water and wastewater systems and industrial processes to energy management for buildings, district heating, district cooling, and heating and heat pump systems – we offer tailored solutions that meet the highest standards in every area.
We build all our pipe solutions using innovative plastics or high-quality stainless steel, ensuring both high quality and long-term reliability. Due to their construction (with adjustable wall thicknesses, diameters and lengths) and advantageous material properties, BRUGG Pipes systems offer exceptional versatility. Our modular system provides genuine flexibility during the planning phase, and we are happy to support you every step of the way. Simply provide us with the key parameters – from the medium temperature and maximum operating pressure to the expected route length and performance requirements – and we will identify the pipe system that best matches your project specifications.
If desired, we can manage not only the planning but also the installation of your selected systems. Our experienced installation teams, equipped with expert knowledge of our products and accessories, ensure precise and reliable integration into existing systems (or new installations and connections). This guarantees smooth operation of the pipeline system. Feel free to contact us at any time for more information about our services, individual pipe solutions and their applications. We look forward to hearing from you.

For the carrier pipes in our pipe systems, we primarily use PEXa (cross-linked high-density polyethylene). One of the key advantages of plastic pipes is their flexibility and bendability, which greatly simplifies installation – especially when pipes need to be routed around obstacles or bent into position. This flexibility also reduces the number of required connections, minimising the risk of leaks. For reliable performance under extreme conditions, we also offer systems equipped with heat tracing, integrated frost protection, vibration damping and pressure-relief technology.
Another benefit of our approach is that plastic pipes are lighter than steel components, making transport and handling easier throughout the installation process. High-quality plastic pipes also offer unbeatable corrosion resistance. Unlike many metal pipes, our PEXa pipes are impervious to rust and other forms of material degradation. Their long-term stability, enhanced resistance to various chemicals and reliable performance over time all contribute to their widespread popularity.
In addition, PEXa pipes are self-regulating; they can expand longitudinally due to temperature fluctuations – without compromising their structural integrity. This capability reduces the risk of cracks or leaks. Additionally, their low tendency to accumulate deposits – compared to metal pipes – improves flow rates and enhances the efficiency of the entire pipe system.
Naturally, pipeline systems made from (stainless) steel also offer their own, unique advantages. Chief among these are their extremely high strength and pressure resistance. Stainless steel pipes from BRUGG Pipes are primarily used in industrial environments, low-temperature applications and district heating networks. In industrial facilities, they meet the highest safety standards thanks to features like double-wall construction and continuous leak monitoring. Their fire- and heat-resistant properties also make them the preferred choice for applications where fire protection is essential. Furthermore, our thermally insulated stainless steel solutions have proven highly effective for transporting liquids and gases in energy supply systems.
The primary advantage of metal is its durability, including resistance to high temperatures – stainless steel and certain steel alloys remain stable even when exposed to extremely hot media. In addition, these pipe systems offer excellent corrosion resistance, making them ideal for use in harsh environments, where they may come into contact with corrosive substances, such as highly caustic chemicals.
Our rigid and flexible stainless steel pipes typically remain in operation for many decades. Their durable and robust construction reduces maintenance and repair costs compared to other systems – making them a sustainable investment. Speaking of which: at BRUGG Pipes, we take a holistic approach to sustainability. Learn more about our environmental policy on our website.
With their excellent insulation properties, our plastic pipes are ideal for hot water and heating systems, as well as cooling and cold-water applications. In other words, they are the preferred solution for the entire water and energy supply sector. In this role, the material properties of the PEXa carrier pipes further enhance the measurable efficiency of our piping systems, as they retain heat better than many other materials. For specific thermal conductivity values, insulation details and long-term performance information, please refer to the brochure linked on our product pages.
By contrast, stainless steel pipes are notable for their robustness (including excellent resistance to high pressures and temperatures), making them ideal for industrial applications. The same applies to our pipe systems for petrol stations – these flexible, single- or double-walled pipelines, which are equipped with a corrugated stainless steel carrier pipe, reliably transport fuels (oil and gases) underground, even over long distances. Their flexibility allows for quick installation in trenches and optimal adaptation to prevailing route conditions. For added protection, our double-walled pipes – commonly used in industrial applications – can be equipped with leak-monitoring devices to prevent the escape of flammable or environmentally harmful liquids from the system.
For cryogenic applications, we offer vacuum-insulated pipe systems featuring a flexible, corrugated stainless steel inner pipe. Thanks to their highly efficient insulation (a combination of vacuum and insulating material), these pipes can transport cryogenic liquids and gases with maximum efficiency, while the stainless steel’s stable structure ensures full performance under extreme conditions.
We offer a wide range of accessories for our pipeline systems, allowing them to be adapted to various requirements and applications. Different fittings are available for all BRUGG Pipes products. Depending on the product and category, options include permanent press fittings, screw and push fittings and heavy-duty electrofusion couplings. These connectors enable flexible, seamless connections between pipes of different sizes and materials, including special shapes and angles.
Our distribution shafts are equipped with shutoff valves and devices for branching connections. Alternatively, branches can be organised using our innovative clip shells in T, I and L shapes – quickly and easily, with no tools required. In addition, our optimised clip technology simplifies pipeline disassembly and maintenance. For a clean finish and reliable seal, our range of standard accessories also includes wall sealing rings and optional LD-PE shrink caps. For detailed information about individual components and the installation process, please refer to our product brochures.
