In order to supply the municipality of Kirchleerau with sustainable heat, we installed a 1.8 km long district heating pipeline along the village road. Our CASAFLEX pipe system was chosen for this project due to its flexibility, durability and cost-efficient installation.
Optimised installation despite limited space
The challenge was to make optimum use of the limited space along the road and at the same time ensure an efficient connection of the surrounding houses to the heating network. Thanks to the special bending capability of CASAFLEX, our fitters were able to unwind the pipes directly from the drum into the trench and align them effortlessly - without the need for complex fittings or joints.
The heat comes from a central wood chip incineration plant and is reliably transported to the connected buildings via our pipes. With this project, we are making an important contribution to sustainable energy supply in the region.
